Day 01: Arrival Kolkata & Local Sightseeing

Welcome on arrival at Kolkata and transfer to Hotel.  Kolkata is the city of Joy, contrast and culture. Once the capital of British India – now the capital of West Bengal. A visit to Kolkata will bring visitors in touch with a combination of a rich 400 years old heritage, vibrant modern life and different cultures.

Afternoon visit the St. Paul’s Cathedral, the first ‘Episcopal Cathedral Church’ in an oriental country, and the Victoria Memorial also referred to as the Taj of the Raj. This splendid white marble structure was built in memory of Queen Victoria between 1906 and 1921 and was formally inaugurated by the Prince of Wales, who later became King Edward VIII of England. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 02: Kolkata

Full day to explore Kolkata. Visit the Mother House – the headquarters of the Missionaries of Charity and the interesting Kalighat Kali Temple – one of the 52 Shakti Peethas in India, devotees from all over the country come to visit this holy temple. In between you can also enjoy a short Tram Ride in the crowded streets of Kolkata. Later visit Howrah bridge. Overnight at hotel.

Day 03: Kolkata – Bagdogra – Darjeeling (95kms / 3hrs)

Today drive to Kolkata airport for your onward journey to Bagdogra. On arrival at Bagdogra Airport transfer to Darjeeling. Once the summer capital of India, Darjeeling is a land of infinite variety and charm and will cater you a mix-experience of lively nature and charming Himalayan people. It is the place of Dorje, the mystic thunderbolt of the Lama-Religion. Surrounded by Tea gardens; this little town faces some of the highest peaks of the Himalayas. On arrival check into a hotel. Evening at leisure. Overnight.

Day 04: Darjeeling

Early morning drive to Tiger Hill to watch the spectacular sunrise and it’s amazing effects on the Mt. Kanchendzonga(Worlds third highest peak). Later visitGhoom Monastery and Batasia Loop War Memorial on return to hotel. Post breakfast visit  Padmaja N. Zoological Garden (Closed on Thursday), Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursday), Tibetian Refugee Self-help Center (Closed on Sunday), Japanese Temple, Peace Pagoda, Tenzing&Gombu Rock, Tea Estate. Later visit local market (Closed on Thursday). Evening at leisure Overnight.

Day 05: Darjeeling – Gangtok (105kms / 4hrs)

Today after breakfast transfer to Gangtok at an altitude of 5500ft. Gangtok is the capital of Sikkim and is a beautiful and clean town promising of the best monasteries and landscapes. Evening at leisure. Overnight.

Day 06: Gangtok – Day trip to Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir

Today after breakfast visit Tsomgo Lake (12400ft), 32kms from Gangtok City. This lake is almost about 1km long, oval in shape and 15mtrs deep. The Lake is considered sacred by the local people. 12kms further visit the New Baba Harvajan Singh Mandir. Return to Gangtok. Evening at leisure. Overnight.

Note:

 In case of Land slide or any reason, Tsomgo Lake is closed we will provided alternate sightseeing at Gangtok.

Nathula Pass visit will be on direct payment basis because it depends on availability of permit from army and weather & Road Condition.

Day 07: Gangtok –Kalimpong (80kms / 2hrs)

After breakfast visit Chortan (Stupa), Institute of Tibetology (Closed on Sunday) Institute of Handicrafts and handlooms (Closed on Sunday), Ranka Monastery and Jakhri waterfalls. Later transfer to Kalimpong. On arrival check into hotel. Evening at leisue. Overnight

Kalimpong is a quiet hill resort in eastern Himalaya and is famous for its Orchids and Nurseries and some of the some of the rarest cacti & Orchids can be seen. Oak, Maple and chestnut stretch up this ridge as far as the eye can reach.

Day 08: Kalimpong

After breakfast visit Zong Dog PalriFo- Brong Monastery (Durpin Dara Monastery), Flower and Orchid Nurseries, Dello Hill. Later visit local market. Evening at leisure. Overnight.

Day 09: Kalimpong – Bagdogra(75kms / 3hrs) – Kolkata (By Air) Departure

Today you will be transferred toBagdogra airport to connect your flight to Kolkata. On arrival check into hotel in Kolkata. You may opt for short walks in the streets of Kolkata.Later transfer to NSCB Airport to connect your flight home or onward destination.
