Day 01 – Arrival Cochin
On arrival at Cochin International Airport by an early morning flight, you will be received to drive to Fort Cochin, the colonial hub of Kerala. Check into your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Afternoon a Tuk-Tuk tour of Fort Cochin covering Chinese Fishing nets, St Francis Church & Santa Cruz Basilica. Evening watch a Kathakali show at a live theatre. Overnight at Cochin.

Fort Cochin still keeps its Colonial remnants reminding us about the presence and passing of various invasions and historic moments. Fort Cochin & Mattancherry ,the twin cities closely connected are great examples of the sustainable preservation of a cultural heritage which still chills a curious traveller.

Day 02 – Cochin-Poothotta Village (01 Hour Drive)
After an early breakfast, you will be driven to a serene backwater island village-Poothotta for an exclusive experience which is a part of our Community Based Responsible Tourism. On arrival at the other side of the island, the local host along with a guide will receive you to cross the river in a canoe. Further you will be taken through some breath taking narrow canals and village activities like coir making. You will be offered a home cooked meal by the local family.

This is an exclusive experience offered to our travellers as a part of our community support imitative and the economic benefits go to the host family which eventually support the local circular economy and sustainable living.
Afternoon, drive back to Cochin for a guided sightseeing covering the historic monuments and cultural heritage. Highlights will be Dutch Palace Museum, Jewish Synagogue and Jew Town. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 03 – Cochin-Temple Visit & Cookery show
Morning, after an early breakfast, proceed to a village called Ramamangalam to visit the village temples built in Kerala Temple Architecture. This program is conducted as a part of our village empowerment program and to support the conservation of old temples in Kerala. Lunch at a local home. Afternoon, return to Cochin. Evening visit a local home to experience a live cookery show followed by dinner. Overnight at the hotel.

Lifescapes Of A Farming Village-Ramamangalam
Villages in Kerala still try to maintain the cultural heritage of the region including local farming, traditions and cuisine.As a part of our Sustainability initiative, we are working together with Ave Stella Maris College and Ramamangalam Panchayath to support the circular economy of the region and to support the conservation of a village culture and tradition. We conduct this tour with the help of local story tellers and young ,amateur guides. The entire returns from this tour will be given back to the local community at the village to support the conservation of its culture and heritage.
Ramamangalam which is just 25 kms away from Cochin, still carries the local flavour of a farming village with rich traditions and a cultural heritage. Our below day trip will showcase some cultural,lifestyle and farming elements for which the village is proud of.
The temples we showcase in this tour are managed by the local trusts which need support for the maintenance and up keeping the architectural structure which are hundreds of years old.
On arrival at Ramamangalam, you will be guided to visit the village temple which is an architectural marvel with a Kerala traditional architecture. The minute carvings on wood depicting the stories from the Hindu epics are marvellous to the eyes.

Later drive through the village to watch and understand the farming culture in the village. We will pass through paddy fields, rubber, tapioca and pineapple farms depending upon the season. Though so close to the Metro city Cochin, this village still carries a long farming tradition well preserved. By noon, visit a local family to have a traditional lunch.
Afternoon drive to Cochin for a freshen up. Early evening visit a local family for a live interactive cooking demonstration followed by dinner with the family. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 04 – Cochin- Alleppey Houseboat-Cochin
After a leisurely breakfast, you will be driven to Alleppey to board your exclusive houseboat for a cruise through the Vembanad Lake. You will start with a freshly cooked traditional lunch on board. Enjoy the backwaters. Later after evening tea & snacks, check out and drive back to Cochin for overnight stay.

Houseboat in Kerala backwaters was one of the most community oriented project in tourism as this industry created a huge employment opportunity for the local people. The traditional culinary heritage is being conserved and sustained to offer the regional Alleppey/Kuttanadan cuisine on board the Houseboat. The interesting part is that all cooks on Houseboats are men. Houseboat also gives an opportunity to the local fishermen and other vendors to sell their products . Even when the local farmers had many climatic chaos like floods which resulted in heavy crop loss, at least the availability of employment to many on Houseboats was a great boon to the local community. Two consecutive floods followed by the Pandemic have made the living in this region a real livelihood issue. During your cruise, you may see the new houses coming up which are all built on raised pillars in fear of floods during Monsoon. As the crew are from the local community, with proper training, now they are taking a special interest on keeping the waters clean and garbage free.

Day 05 – Cochin-Calicut (By Train-4 Hours)-Vythiri (75 kms-2 Hours)
Today your luggage will be loaded in your coach and the coach will leave to Calicut Railway Station. You will be transferred to Ernakulam Railway station to board your train to Calicut. On arrival at Calicut, your driver will pick you up to drive to Vythiri. Overnight stay at Resort.

Day 06 – Wayanad
After breakfast, you will go for a village walk through an ethnic village followed by lunch at the village. Evening at leisure at the resort. Overnight at the Resort.

Day 07 – Wayanad-Mysore (150 kms-4 Hours drive)
After a leisurely breakfast, check out and drive to Mysore. On arrival at Mysore, check into your hotel. Afternoon, Sightseeing of Mysore to visit Devaraja Market, Maharaja Palace etc. Overnight at the Hotel.

Maharaja’s Palace is a synonym for Mysore in the Tourist Map. Its built in Indo-Saracenic style with domes, turrets, arches and colonnades. The Palace is a treasure house of exquisite carvings and works of art from all over the world. The walled Palace complex houses the Residential Museum, temples and shrines including Shwetha Varahaswamy Temple. The jewel studded golden throne, the pride of the Wodeyars and the symbol of their sovereignity, displayed here during Dussehra festival in October. The Palace will be lit with One Hundred Thousand electric bulbs on Sundays and Public Holidays.

Mysore, the capital city of the Wodeyars has always enchanted its admirers with its quaint charm, rich heritage, magnificent palaces, beautifully laid-out gardens, imposingbuildings, broad shady avenues and sacred temples. There’s an old world charm about the city that reaches out and leaves no one untouched. Visit the palace of the Maharaja built in 1911-12. The palace is of harmonious syntheses of the Hindu and Saracenic styles of architecture with archways, domes, turrets, colonnades and sculptures which are magnificent. Visit the Art Gallery; drive up to Chamundi hill to see Chamundeshwari Temple & a panoramic view of Mysore. On the way back, see the Nandi Bull. Mysore is known the world over for its exotic sandalwood and rich silks. Mysore, an undulating tableland, covered in parts by granite outcrops and fringed by verdant forests, offering several attractions ranging from the royal splendor of Mysore City and its fabulous Dasara Festival to exquisite temples, pilgrimage centres and scenic spots.

Day 08 – Mysore
Full day guided city tour of Mysore visiting Srirangapatna, Chamundi Hills & Somnathpur etc. Overnight stay in Mysore
Somnathpur, a tiny village on the banks of the Kaveri, 140 kms, south-west of Bangalore. This place boasts of one of the last and the grandest of Hoysalamonuments – the Kesava Temple.  The riches and splendour of the Hoysala court were already evident in their grandtemples at Belur and Dvarasamudra (present day, Halebid).The temple, however, was built by this celebrated army commander, Somnath. Some year ago he had founded a village on the left bank of the Kaveri River, which he named Somnathpur, after himself. All the facts are duly mentioned on the slab in old Kannada script and appear as though to have happened yesterday! Somnathpur is more representative of the age, since it did not suffer destruction as much as Belur and Halebid did and hence offers a more unbroken view of period’s architecture. Often it is referred to as the poor cousin of Belur and Halebid. Its unique design and perfect symmetry are ignored amidst the farms and agricultural lands of surrounding villages.

The island fortress of the legendary warrior king Tipu Sultan, Srirangapatna is just 16km from Mysore city. Inside the fortress is Tipu’s mosque with its twin minarets, the celebrated Ranganatha Swamy Temple, Tipu’s Summer Palace, the Wellesley Bridge, and the dungeons where British officers were once imprisoned. Equally impressive is the ornate white-domed Gumbaz, an imposing structure with doors of ebony inlaid with ivory and lacquered with Tipu’s tiger-striped emblem. About 1km to the east of the fort is Tipu’s Summer Palace (known as the Daria Daulat Bagh) set amidst a lovely garden.

Day 09 – Mysore-Hassan (125 kms-3 Hours drive)
After breakfast, drive to Hassan. Check into your hotel on arrival. Afternoon visit Belur Channakeshava &Halebid Hoysalewswara temples famous for its Hoysala Architecture using the soft stone with amazing hand craft. Overnight at the Hotel.

The temples at Belur and Halebid, which remained incomplete despite 80 years of labor, are offerings of the finest workmanship in stone to the gods. The elaborate sculptured decoration on the temple, according to some critics, is even better than the Friezes at Konark in Orissa and Khajuraho in Madhya Pradesh. The Temple at Halebid is still used for worship today. Belur was the capital of the Hoysalas during the 11th and 12th centuries, before the capital was moved to Halebid. The thing not to be missed here is the impressive Chennakeshava Temple, which has some of the most intricate and beautiful carvings in India.The Channakeshava temple at Belur, which was (the earlier Capital of Hoysala Kingdom) built by the emperor Vishnuvardhana, during 1117 AD to commemorate his conversion from Jainism to Vaishnavism, has attracted connoisseurs of art the World over, through its intricate sculpting wonders. Hoysaleshvara temple Halebid is a 12th century Hoysala temple , the old Hoysala capital.

Day 10 – Hassan-Sravanabelagola-Bangalore (200 Kms-5 Hours)
After breakfast, drive to Bangalore. Enroute visit one of the tallest Budha statue at Sravanabelagola. On arrival, check into your hotel. Evening free. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 11 – Bangalore
After breakfast, go for a guided tour of Bangalore to visit Vidhan Soudha, Cubbon Park ,City market etc. Afternoon free for own activities. Overnight at the Hotel.

Bangalore is the capital of Karnataka and best known internationally as an IT hub that rivals silicone valley. It is easy to see why it is the favourite of the Tecchies with its salubrious climate, its tree-lined avenues, its trendy bars and clubs, it is a city of striking contrasts. Bangalore today is Asia’s fastest growing cosmopolitan city. The VidhanSoudha is a major attraction which presently functions as the state legislative assembly and a marvelous example of Neo-Dravidian architecture. The City boasts of spacious gardens, parks, tree-lined avenues, a profusion of flowering trees and lakes earning it the synonym of Garden City. With its booming economy and racy lifestyle, the capital of Karnataka has metamorphosed from a sleepy Garden City into one of India’s fastest growing cities. Bangalore is still popular for maintaining the Green inspite of the expansion of the City as one of the Metros of India. The Cubbon Park in the heart of the city, Lal Bagh (famous for the blooming red roses), and the Bangalore Palace are some of the other must see attractions of this garden city. The Tipu’s Palace and the adjoining fort are fine examples of Indo-Islamic architecture that also offer a glimpse into the Mughal lifestyle of the day. Besides, one can also visit the Aquarium, which is the second largest in the country.

Day 12 – Bangalore Departure
Today, you will be transferred to Bangalore (Bengaluru) International Airport to connect your flight home.
