I do want to say how very much we liked and valued our driver. He was a delightful person with an excellent sense of humour – a good companion on our travels. And a safe driver! While his English was sometimes not quite up to the task, we always managed. He did an excellent job when he had to act as a guide, especially in the evening visit to the temple in Tiruvannamalai. He would be an essential partner for us of any future visit to the region. As I assume he is employed by a Chennai company, we would be very grateful if you would convey our enthusiasm for him to that company

Of the guides who were provided, one stands out. Rajith Nair was excellent, interesting and a good companion. In fact for a spare day at the end of our time in Chennai we hired him again to show us more of the city. Our walk with him was definitely one of the high points of the trip.

The other high point was the visit to the Elephant Orphanage. This was very interesting and engaging. The commitment of the person who showed us around was very impressive. The visit has sensitized us when we see elephants elsewhere.”
